SCRIPTURE / PRAYER

….they answered Him, “Some say that You are a prophet, others say Elisha. Jesus asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16: 14 – 16) O Jesus, You ask us that question, ‘Who do you say that I am?' and You want to be Lord for each and every one of us, the Good Shepherd, the Strengthener, the Word of Life, and the King of kings. O Jesus, You call each of us by name; help us, Jesus, to surrender to You, ourselves and our lives, into Your hands of love. You are our Lord and our Savior. You are the Father's love sent for us to lead us to Him. You have told us to ask and we will receive, seek and we will find, knock and the door shall be opened unto us, for everyone who asks, receives; everyone who seeks, finds and everyone who knocks, the door will be opened to us. You say that the Father is so willing to give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. O Jesus, for Your sons and Your daughters, we are asking You to send the Spirit of God upon us and empower us in this place, so that we can prepare our hearts for that.

INTERPRETATION

I have heard your knock; the door has been opened. Enter and see, My beloved, see all the gifts that I have for you.

PRAYER

Lord, You are the Lamb of God, we praise and worship You and we glorify Your Holy Name! Thank You for forgiving us, Lord God! Praise and glory to Your Holy Name now and forever more! Amen.

SCRIPTURE

The Lord gave me this Scripture a little bit ago and I said to Him, “If You want me to read this Scripture tonight, You need to give me a sign, or have someone say a word because it deals with the Good Shepherd.” A few seconds after that, when Chuck was invoking the Lord, he spoke of the Good Shepherd. So I am going to pass this Scripture from Ezekiel on to all of us here tonight. This is how the Lord wants us to think of Him this week as we prepare for next week. Ezekiel 34: 11 – 16, 25 – 27, 31: I the Sovereign Lord, tell you that I Myself will look for My sheep and take care of them in the same way shepherds take care of their sheep that were scattered and brought back together again. I will bring them back from all the places where they were scattered. I will take them out of foreign countries, gather them together and bring them back in their own land. I will lead them back to the mountains and streams of Israel and will feed them in pleasant pastures. I will let them graze in safety in the mountain meadows, the valleys, and all the green pastures of the land of Israel . I Myself, will be the Shepherd of My sheep and I will find them a place to rest. I will look for those that are lost, bring back those that wander off, bandage those that are hurt, and heal those that are sick because I am the Shepherd Who does what is right. I will make a covenant with them that guarantees their security. I will get rid of all the dangerous animals in the land so that My sheep can live safely in the fields and sleep in the forest. I will bless them and let them live around My sacred hill. There I will bless them with showers of rain when they need it. The trees will bear fruit, the fields will produce crops and everyone will live in safety on his own land. You, My sheep, the flock that I feed, are My people. I am Your God, says the Sovereign Lord.” This is the God Who has asked us tonight to sincerely spend time with Him this week to do away with the distractions in our lives, to sit down and humbly come before Him and say, “Yes, Lord, I am ready to receive all that You have to give to me.” Amen.

SCRIPTURE / EXHORTATION

This adds to what Ray just said. When we listen to the Sovereign Lord Who shepherds us, He makes a promise to us too. Also from Ezekiel 36: 24 – 28: For I will take you out of the nations, I will gather you from all of the countries and bring you back to your own land. I will sprinkle clean water on you and you will be clean. I cleanse you from all of your impurities and from all of your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit in you and move you to follow My decrees and be careful to keep My laws. You will live in the land that I gave your forefathers. You will be My people and I will be your God.
