INSPIRED WORD

PROPHECY / SCRIPTURE / EXHORTATION

When we sang the song ‘These are the Days of Elijah', I was thinking of all the great prophets like Isaiah, Elijah, Ezekiel and how great they were, but then I heard a very clear message in my mind. The message was this: These are the days of Barb, these are the days of CeCe, these are the days of Joe, these are the days of Rose...... It was God saying, “These are your days to speak My words to people.” So Isaiah came to my mind and I looked up his commission. “When God called him, he saw all of these angels and they were saying, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty! The whole earth is full of His glory!' At the sound of their voices, the door posts and thresholds shut and the temple was filled with smoke. Isaiah said, ‘Woe to me! I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.'” (Don't we feel like Isaiah when God is calling us, and many times we say, “Woe is me; I am not worthy enough!”) But then look what God did. “Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, ‘See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.' Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, ‘Here I am. Send me!'” ( Isaiah 6: 2 -28) I feel that God is calling to us, ‘Whom should I send?” and He wants us to answer, “Here I am; send me!”

SCRIPTURE / EXHORTATION

2 Corinthians 12: 0 – 10: I believe that what God is saying here to you people, as a Church, is, “My grace is sufficient for you; for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I would rather boast most gladly of my infirmities so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities and reproaches and needs, in persecution and distresses for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” I just really believe that God wants us to take courage and not to be afraid as we reach out to people. He tells us to step out of our comfort zone without fear. People out there are dying for Jesus; they need Jesus so badly right now. Don't be afraid of your weaknesses or of what will happen when you reach out to others. Know that God will be your strength and He will help you as you take that step.

SCRIPTURE

Luke 12: 22 - 26: Then Jesus said to His disciples, “And so I tell you not to worry about the food you need to stay alive or about the clothes you need for your body. Life is much more important than food, and the body much more important than clothes. Look at the crows; they don't plant seeds or gather a harvest; they don't have storage rooms or barns; God feeds them! You are worth so much more than birds! Can any of you live a bit longer by worrying about it? If you can't manage even such a small thing, why worry about the other things?”

SCRIPTURE / PROPHECY

Isaiah 55: 10 – 13: Prophet Isaiah says to us: “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is My word that goes out from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” Tonight the Lord has spoken words to us; words that encourage us, words that tell us to seek Him first, words that tell us that anxiety does not come from Him. But confidence is what He pours out upon us. He tells us not to be afraid, but to know He is with us. He has called us and has made us prophets to the nations. He has poured out the grace to be those prophets. He says to us, “Be not afraid! For wherever you go, I go with you. My rain goes before you to soften hearts. Look for the fields that I have already tilled and sow the seed, for My promise is that My word will not return to Me empty. That which I spoke to you tonight will be fulfilled in your midst and you will be prophets to My people and they will turn their lives to Me.”

PRAYER

Lord, You pour forth Your grace upon us that we might minister, not only here but also to the outside world. You tell us not to be afraid and to be prophets to the nations. You tell us not to worry if we are weak or broken; Your power is made perfect in our weaknesses. We do believe that! You love us beyond anything that we can imagine.

SCRIPTURE

Colossians 4: 3 – 6: Pray that God may open a door to us for the word, to speak of the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison, that I may make it clear, as I must speak. Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you know how you should respond to each one.
