INSPIRED WORD

January 24, 2007

SENSE / EXHORTATION

.... your Spirit leads me on, I will soar with You.” In those words, I was reminded of something that I had read about Saint Therese of the Little Flower. She said, “How, Lord, can I soar with You, for I am just a little bird with a broken wing? How can I soar like an eagle?” The Lord said to her, “Here is the way – I am the eagle and I come down to the ground and you step upon My wing and I will enfold you and carry you; together we will soar.” So tonight, wherever we may be, I just felt that the Lord was saying to us, “Maybe you don't feel like you can praise and soar like an eagle, or may be you have a little broken wing tonight; it doesn't matter. The Lord Himself has come down with wide spread eagle's wings and he has said, “Climb on, climb on and you will soar in the power of My love for each and everyone of you.”

SCRIPTURE

Haggai 2: 6-9: In that song, we asked God, “Will You meet us here?” God says, through the prophet Haggai: This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come and I will fill this house with glory,” says the Lord Almighty. “The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,” declares the Lord Almighty. “The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,” says the Lord Almighty. “And in this place I will grant peace,” declares the Lord Almighty.

PROPHECY

I AM! I am all you need! I am Lord God, King of all the heavens and the earth. I am He Who fashioned you, Who made you, Who instilled My Spirit within you. I am above every circumstance; I am above every being; I am above all nations. “I Am”, says the Lord, your God. Where is your focus, My people, is it on things, is it on circumstances? I understand, and yet I say to you that I AM. Look to the great I AM, for I am above all else, and I have promised you in My Word, I have promised that I, the great I AM, will work all things together for the good, and not for evil; to give you a future and a hope when you search for Me with all your hearts. Search for Me, I am there! I am not hiding Myself, I am here! I am wherever you are! Where is your focus, my people? Where are you looking? For I AM; I am within you, I am around you, I am in the circumstance. I AM loves you, created you. I have not forgotten you and I have told you, “Never fear, for I am with you.”

PROPHECY

For you who are thirsty, come to the water! You who need refreshment, come to the water! You who are weak and need strength, come to the water! You who are hungry, you who are despondent, come to the water! You who need cleansing, you who need My love, come to the water! You who need My mercy, come to the water! I pour forth the water of My grace. Open your hearts, My people, come to the water; open your arms and your hearts to receive!

EXHORTATION

...as a family. In your workplace, wherever you are, in the city, in the street, in this pew, in this chair, the Lord is with us; we are not alone. Take your arms and cross them across your body and hold yourself tightly. Give yourself the hug the Lord needs your hands to give you. He hugs with His Spirit, but you can hug with your hands. Know, in your heart, with your whole being, that you are loved tonight, this moment, by the Savior of the world.

TONGUES

INTERPRETATION

Love, just now and forever, always; you can't escape it. His love is always there. No matter how fast you run or how many barriers you put up, His love can break though anything and will break through everything.

INTERPRETATION

Yes, My children, I do love you! I am an ever-present God with open arms always; always open arms! Sometimes you are like a hesitant child, just basking in the glow of My smile, but My arms are open and I beckon you tonight to run into them, that you may be held close in My embrace. I am a loving God with open arms; run to Me!

CONFIRMING SCRIPTURE

Psalm 136:1-3: I was reading this Psalm right before Mel came up. It says, “Praise the Lord, Who is so good, God's love endures forever. Praise the God of gods, God's love endures forever. Praise the Lord of lords, God's love endures forever.”

SCRIPTURE

Colossians 1:15-23: He is the image of the invisible God, the first born of all creation. For in Him everything in heaven and earth was created, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all else, that is in Him everything holds together. He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning, the firstborn of the dead, so that He might come to have first place in everything. It pleased God to make absolute fullness reside in Him, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace with His Blood, shed on the cross. You yourselves were once alienated from Him; you nurtured hostility in your hearts because of your evil deeds. But now Christ has achieved reconciliation for you in His mortal body by dying so as to present you to God holy, free of reproach and blame. But you must hold fast to faith, be firmly grounded and steadfast in it, unshaken in the hope promised you by the gospel you have heard. It is the gospel which has been announced to every creature under heaven, and I, Paul, am its servant.

EXHORTATION

You know, God has done many things here tonight and I truly believe that He has worked in every heart here tonight. I think that there is “percolating” out there words, Scripture, all of that, but people are being hesitant and maybe having some fear. But I really believe what the Lord said on the day of Pentecost. He said, in Joel (3:1-2) , “In the last days, I will pour My Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. Even on My slaves, both men and women, in those days I will pour out My Spirit.” He said that the Holy Spirit will be poured out upon all people ', not just the comfortable, not just the extroverts. He has poured out His Spirit now on each and everyone of us. Maybe you were sitting there during the Praise and Worship time and there was something that was “percolating” in your hearts – an image, a Scripture, a word – but you just weren't sure. I just encourage you, next time just walk up, even if you have to sit on that end chair, and give whatever you get within you, because God is working in a powerful way right now, right here and He wants to use ALL people. So say, “Lord, make me courageous because You have poured out Your Spirit upon me to bring the good news.”
