INSPIRED WORD
FEBRUARY 22, 2006
PROPHECY
It is that place where you kneel before My cross and I ask you to come there right now. Come with your brokenness, come with your needs. Know that I am a God of love. In fact, I AM LOVE! I want you to know that if you are not in it for the love, then you really aren't in it for Me. I call you, My people, to make Me your habit. I want you to know that what starts as a habit, is what then molds you into My image. Come to Me, My people! My arms are stretched out before you. Come and kneel before Me! Praise You, Jesus!
CONFIRMATION
I would like to confirm that . During the last song, the Lord was really speaking to me about laying down those cares at His cross. How many times have we come into this place of worship with all of our baggage. God wants us to drop the baggage and give it to Him. He is here to heal, He is here to restore. He has told us to take His yoke for it is easy and His burden is light. He has already carried that burden that you are holding onto; He has already taken it to the cross. Give all your burdens to Him.
EXHORTATION
That is a pretty strong message from the Lord to start off our prayer meeting here tonight, so I don't think we should rush on past that. I think each of us probably has come here tonight with something on our minds and hearts. The Lord is telling us to lay it at His feet, so we need to lay it all down before Him. Instead of rushing through it to the next song, lets take a moment in silence and just look into the eyes of our God, Who is Love, and tell Him what burdens we brought here tonight. Then lets truly leave the burdens at His feet, so we can come back and praise Him the way He wants us to praise Him. Thank You, Lord!
PRAYER
To You, Lord, we run to Your outstretched arms. Lord, we ask You to hold us in Your arms as we lay our burdens down at Your feet. Lord, You know what burdens we all carry in our hearts; our burdens of fear, of self doubt, of neglect, of hardship, of family problems, the loss of loved ones. Lord, we give them all to You because we truly want to stand before You with open hearts and minds so that we can praise You. Amen.
SCRIPTURE
Psalm 30:11-12: You have taken away my sorrow and are surrounding me with joy, so I will not be silent. I will sing praises to Your Name Lord. You are my God. I will give You thanks forever.
PRAYER
......word, Lord. Help us to wait in peace and silence. Lord, we thank You for Your cross. We thank You for dying for our sins and we ask that You make Your word known to this community.
PROPHECY
Come to Me, My precious children. Come to Me! Come and meet Me at the foot of My cross. To many, it was a frightful thing that happened on Calvary that day, but I gave Myself up for you and I ask you again, come to Me, come to Me on Calvary, come to Me at the foot of My cross and give yourselves to Me!
SCRIPTURE
Philippians 2:6-11: Who being in the very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in the human likeness. And being found in the appearance of a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death - even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God, the Father.
SCRIPTURE
Philippians 4:4-9: Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you.
IMAGE
As we were singing that song, the Lord showed me a vision of a rose, a rose about the size of this music stand. We were all kneeling and the smell of roses was suddenly really strong around us. In fact, it was raising up like incense. I asked the Lord for the interpretation, but He did not give it to me. So perhaps someone else here will have that interpretation.
PRAYER
If the Lord does give you an interpretation for this vision, please don't hesitate to share it with his community. For now, Lord, we take it that the rose is a sign, another sign, of Your deep love for us. We thank You! We do surrender to You, Lord! We do ask in our hearts to go deeper; we do ask for You to surround us with the trust, the courage, with the boldness, with the knowledge that we need to take the step to surrender, to go deeper, Lord.
PRAYER
We do say, here we are, we stand for You, Lord. Lord, we ask You to make those words a prayer in our hearts, a prayer in our ears, a prayer in our minds. Perhaps the Music Ministry can lead us in worship in that song again. Each one of us can read the words in our hearts, not just sing them, but make them a prayer to our God Who is pouring His Heart out to us tonight. Praise You, Lord!
IMAGE
The Lord showed me a rose too, a great big rose. The rose was two-toned. The outer edges of the rose were red and the inner petals, as they went closer to the center, were gold. I feel that the Lord is saying to us that that is the rose of surrender. Sometimes surrender can be very difficult. The petals are edged in red because sometimes the cost of surrender is very high. But then as you move toward the center of the rose and the petals turn gold, we are getting closer to the Holy of Holies and by our surrender and the blood at the edges, we are drawing closer to Him.
PRAYER
In those words to the Lord, we are saying, “You are all I want, Lord, You are all I will ever need! You are all I want! Help me to know You are near.” Let us just picture in our own minds, for a second, that is the Lord who is singing that verse to us. He is telling us that we are all He wants, and that we are all that He will ever need. Lord, as we come before You and we surrender to You, it is hard for us to understand Your love and desire for us. But we know it, Lord, and we can feel it, we can feel it deep within us. We ask You, Lord, to expand that desire within us, expand the desire within us to know You in the same way that You know each of us. Lord, expand in us our desire for You and make it the same as Your desire for us. Expand in us, Lord, our love for You and make it the same as Your love for us.
IMAGE
I had an image of a rose too and God had spoken it to me. The closed rosebud represents a soul who is not willing to open up and give its burdens to God and not willing to lay them at His feet and put them at His cross. When a soul is finally able to give up these burdens and let God take control, then that rose is finally able to open up and blossom. It grows and as it continues to grow, those burdens continue to lighten up in that soul until it can just fully open up to God and represent a beautiful scent. It cannot only fill the soul's life, but can also fill the lives of others around them. The letting go and blossoming like a rose is a freedom. As we think about freedom and think of the beautiful image of the rose, let us be that scent and the light and that beauty and reflect that growth. The Spirit is growing through us and showing God's love to the world through the beauty, the beauty of each single person here tonight. One of the glories of the Communion of Saints is that each saint is unique. Each saint reflects a different part of the beauty of God. The beauty of the community of saints and the community of us here tonight is that each of us is showing that different aspect of God. When we put them all together, we have a field of glory, field of beauty, and a fuller sense of who God is for the world. No one person can fully reflect Who God is, but if we each reflect that little piece that He has put inside of us then that will show the whole world the whole community and all of His glory.
SCRIPTURE / SENSE
Hebrews 10:19-25: “Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, His body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He Who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” The Lord had this Scripture on my mind this entire evening. I kept looking at it and saying, “I am not sure what to do with it, Lord? Is now the time to read it?” Then at the very end it all came together. A strong message here tonight was God's whole plan of salvation for us. He brought us to the cross first, and told us Who He was and what He did for us and why He did it. It was for our redemption, for mercy, for love, for our forgiveness, so that we could come into the Holy of Holies and be in His Presence, so that we could draw near to Him. I believe this sums up this evening.
