INSPIRED WORD

JULY 20, 2005

PRAYER

Lord, send us a river of grace! Send us a river of the Spirit! Lord, we pray for that right now. Come, Lord, send that river of grace to this assembly. We want a revival of Your Spirit. Glory to You, O God!

SCRIPTURE

Psalm 93:1-2,4-5 and Psalm 92:1-2,4-5,8: Indeed the world is permanently established and it will not be moved. The throne is established from of old and Thou art from everlasting. More than the sound of many waters and the mighty breakers of the sea, the Lord on High is Mighty. Holiness befits Thy house, O Lord, forevermore. It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Thy name on high, to declare Thy loving kindness in the morning and Thy faithfulness by night for Thou, O Lord, has made me glad by what Thou has done and so I will sing for joy at the work of Thy hands. How great are Thy works, O Lord, Thy thoughts are deep. Lord, You are exalted.

PRAYER

Lord, You say to us that You dwell in the praises of Your people; that You dwell in our praises, O Lord, and we thank You that even now You are dwelling in the praise that we have lifted up to You. Lord, in the Song of Solomon, it says that You come leaping the mountains and bounding the hills to meet us. O Lord, You come to meet us! Thank You, Lord, that You meet us more than half way; that You come, Lord, to take us into Your holy, holy Presence, to fill us with Your love. You have come, Lord, leaping the mountains and bounding the hills to meet us.

SCRIPTURE

Psalm 95:1-7: Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song. For the Lord is a great God, the great King above all gods, in His hands are the depths of the earth and the mountain peaks belong to Him. The sea is His, for He made it and His hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker; for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.

EXHORTATION / PROPHECY

Praise is a manifestation of faith and that is why, by faith, we can move mountains. It is God's grace working through us. The Lord is saying that this prayer, this praise, this faith that we exhibit can move mountains tonight. It can move mountains of guilt, can move mountains of shame, can move mountains of unforgiveness, can move mountains in the physical realm with things that we or our loved ones are dealing with, can move mountains in the psychological realm with ourselves or with our loved ones. I can just hear Him saying, “Your prayers move mountains. Through you, let Me move mountains here tonight.” Lord, we give You thanks and praise and we give You permission to move the mountains in our lives.

SCRIPTURE

Luke 418-19: Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has chosen Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed and to announce that the time has come when the Lord will save His people.”

SCRIPTURE / SENSE / WORD OF KNOWLEDGE

I believe this is going to fit in since the last two were on praise. When John in prison heard the works of Christ, he sent word by his disciples and said to Him, “Are You the expected One or shall we look for someone else?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and report to John what you see and hear. The blind receive sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.”(Matthew 11:2-5) I believe what the Lord is telling us is the purpose of praise. I believe that praise is to stir up the gifts; one of the gifts is healing. I know there are people who have come here tonight with broken hearts. The Lord has seen your tears. That is why we praise – to stir up that Spirit. Amen.

PRAYER

Lord, there is none like You; there is none like You in heaven or on earth. Worthy is the Lamb; Holy is Your name! To You all blessing, all glory, honor and power for evermore. We join with the living creatures that cry out “Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord! Holy, Holy!

SCRIPTURE

Psalm 8:1-10: O Lord, our God, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens! From the lips of children and infants You have ordained praise because of Your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which You have set in place - what is man that You are mindful of him, or the Son of Man that You care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You made him ruler over the works of Your hands, You put everything under his feet; all flocks and herds and beasts of the field, the birds of the air and the fish of the sea all swims the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!

IMAGE / EXHORTATION

I had an image of an arm raised up in praise, high above their head. The Lord standing above that person reached out to that hand and lifted them up. All of a sudden I realized that this person was in a pit and they were praising God in that pit and the Lord reached out and pulled them out. I asked the Lord for an interpretation - even in our despair, we should reach up and praise Him. That is when we should be praising Him the most, when we are at our lowest time. Reach up to Him as if our life depended upon it, because it does depend upon it. Reach up to Him and He will lift us up and set us firmly on that rock next to Him.

CONFIRMATION SCRIPTURE

Jeremiah 29:12-13: Then you will call to Me, you will come and pray to Me and I will answer you. You will seek Me and you will find Me because you will seek Me with all of your heart.

WORD OF KNOWLEDGE

There is someone here tonight that is in that pit. The Lord has some words for you. If it rains, let it; don't push the river; it flows well by itself. I believe what the Lord is telling you is to let go and let God! Let Him be in control.

EXHORTATION / SENSE

When our brother was talking about the river of life – I hope this blesses somebody here tonight – I go to New Life Church on Sundays, but I feel very welcome here at this church on Wednesday nights. Couple years ago I had a dream that the river of life was at the New Life Church, but that doesn't really matter. I had these images of blocks of wood in my head and the Lord said, “Well, go through the river of life.” The river of life literally came down and there were many people. It was like what was mentioned earlier, if you are in the pit and you raise your hand to Him and praise Him, He will be there. Also He is telling us to go through that river of life and as we do, by faith, there will be a change that takes place. As I got to the end of the river of life, the images of the blocks of wood all disappeared – it was as if something was blocking my thinking. I think there is a reason that the river of life was talked about tonight – the river is here. Just step out in faith!

SCRIPTURE

Revelation 22:1-2: Then the angels showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the trees are for the healing of the nations.

PRAYER / EXHORTATION

Lord Jesus, we are hungry for You! We are thirsting for more of You! Your river of life is here; your river of healing is here. Many people here do have their hands lifted up to You, Lord, for a touch of You. Lord, we thank You; we praise You for Your mercy and Your love. If you are a person here tonight who needs a touch of the Lord in a special way, who really needs to get into that river of life, who needs to be immersed in that river of healing, I ask you to believe in faith that God can heal you. He heals in many ways. I also ask you to come forward so that the community can lay hands on you and pray for you – to pray for whatever healing it is you need; the healing of forgiveness, the healing of hurts, physical healing, emotional healing, whatever the need is.
