INSPIRED WORD
JULY 19, 2006
SCRIIPTURE / EXHORTATION
Book of Amos: .... to come and prophesy to His people Israel. So here was the man who was a herdsman and he took care of fig trees and the Lord called Him to prophesy to the people whom he loved. One person, Amos, stepped out in faith and he changed the course of a nation by believing that that was the Word of the Lord, which, of course, it was. That is the same belief that needs to be in each one of our hearts tonight. Now we only have a few minutes left here to praise the Lord, but we can use the gifts of Prayer Tongue and Prophecy to spend those few minutes and bring praise to this Lord, this God, Who loves us so much. Thank You, Lord!
CONFIRMATION / WORD OF KNOWLEDGE
This is in confirmation to what Ray just said. While we were praying in the community, I kept having the sense in my heart that there is someone here who felt like they have done something wrong, that they are not worthy to accept the gifts and the love that God has for them. They are thinking that they have gone so far off the ladder that God would never grant them any gifts. But that is NOT true. God has forgotten the things of the past. He says, “Come as you are now! There is no place nor sin so great that God cannot handle. There isn't anything in the Kingdom of God that is not redeemable.
CONFIRMATION / IMAGE
I saw something earlier in the group and I thought that it was just for me at the time, so I didn't share it. But when Ruth talked about God forgetting what we have done in the past and that He helps us to grow in His love and become stronger, then I had to share this. I had an image of a tree that had been blown over and then the tree stood back up and the roots grew back into the ground. The tree became stronger and it grew bigger. I have been having problems of my own, so I thought the image was just for me. But just to confirm what Ruth said, when we fall down, He wants us to grow back in His love, to become stronger and to grow stronger in Him.
CONFIRMATION
I want to confirm that in my own life. I have felt like that too, and I feel that the Lord has brought me back to life. Since I have started here, I feel like the Lord has renewed me, He renewed my spirit and made me stronger.
