SCRIPTURE
Psalm 92: 1 – 4: It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your steadfast love in the morning, and Your faithfulness by night, to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre. For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your work; at the works of Your hands, I sing for joy.
PROPHECY / EXHORTATION
After we sang, ‘Come, Lord Jesus, come', the Lord was impressing upon me that He does come. As we call upon Him, He does come. He comes as we need Him the most. There are so many titles for Jesus – Light of the World, Shepherd, King of kings, Lord of lords, and the Beginning and the End. Just so many titles, but He says, “Here this night, I come as you need Me the most. If you need light, I am here to light the way. If you need a champion, I am here as the King of kings. If you need a shepherd to lead you, I am here saying, ‘follow Me. '” He comes, He comes as we need Him. All we need to say is, “Yes, Lord, be for me what I need.”
SCRIPTURE
Before I was getting an image of a flower or a blossom, and I kept thinking of what Evelyn shared about Iowa . ‘Sprout' came to my mind. I was looking for a different Scripture and I still don't know if this is what the Lord wants me to share or if it is just heavy on my heart. But this if from Jeremiah 33, Promise of Restoration: Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the Lord is good; His love endures forever. “For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,” says the Lord. This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In this place, desolate and without men or animals, and in all its towns there will again be pastures for shepherds to rest their flocks. In the towns of the hill country, of the western foothills, and of the Negev , in the territory of Benjamin , in the villages around Jerusalem and in the towns of Judah , flocks will again pass under the hand of the one who counts them,” says the Lord. “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will fulfill the gracious promise I made to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah . In those days and at that time, I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David's line; He will do what is just and right in the land. In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. This is the name by which it will be called: The Lord Our Righteousness.” (verses 11 – 16)
SCRIPTURE / EXHORTATION
Psalm 111: 1 – 7: “ With all my heart I will thank the Lord in the assembly of His people. How wonderful are the things the Lord does! All who are delighted with them want to understand them. All He does is full of honor and majesty; His righteousness is eternal. The Lord does not let us forget His wonderful actions; He is kind and merciful. He provides food for those who honor Him; He never forgets His covenant. In all He does, He is faithful and just.” And in those words, the Lord is asking us this question again: “Who do you need Me to be for you? Do you need Me to be your light? Do you need me to be a champion for some cause in your life; or do you need me to be your Shepherd?” This is the question that I believe that we have to answer, because the Lord wants each of us to come before Him and to say, “Yes, Lord, I need You at this moment to be my light, my champion, and my shepherd.” Amen!
