INSPIRED WORD

MAY 17, 2006

EXHORATION

As we ask God to come into our hearts and as the anointing comes, we should not be afraid if He gives us the gift of tears to release whatever is in us. Just yield to whatever He gives us; that is the cleansing action of the Holy Spirit. Lord, we give You praise!

SCRIPTURE / EXHORATION

Revelation 22:1-4: “ Then the angel showed me the river of life-giving water, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Nothing accursed will be found there any more. But the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His servants will worship Him; they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. The Spirit and the bride will say, 'Come,' And let everyone who hears say, 'Come.' And let everyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who wishes take the water of life as a gift.” Tonight we said,

“ Let us dip our hearts in the water of life”, and God says, “Come, come, come and receive the water of life.”

SCRIPTURE

Romans 9:20-21: But who do you think you, the human being, are to answer back to God? What was made cannot say to the maker, “Why did You make me this shape?” Does not a potter have the right to make from the same lump of clay one vessel for special use and another one for ordinary use?

PRAYER / EXHORATION

You are God; You are the Lord Who is worthy of praise! You are God and we are not. But that does not mean that we cannot love You, that we cannot worship You, that we cannot bask in Your Presence and revel in Your love. The more You are God and the more we are not, the more permission it gives us to meet a Father, to trust a Father Who loves us beyond measure, beyond the galaxies and universe, beyond any measure of comprehension. We are loved; we are loved, and He asks us to love Him back and to accept the gift of His love for us and experience the joy of being one with Him.

EXHORATION

I am going to challenge you to prepare yourselves this week to come expectant next week. Whatever is between you and the Lord, make it right this week. Each of us here is broken in some way and we keep trying to hide those broken pieces from the Lord. Pray about them and surrender them to the Lord.
