August 13, 2008

SCRIPTURE / SENSE

Isaiah 25:6 – 10: “On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all people a feast of rich food, a feast of well-aged wines, of rich food filled with marrow, of well-aged wine strained clear. And He will destroy on this mountain the shroud that is cast over all peoples, the sheet that is spread over the nations; He will swallow up death forever. Then the Lord God will wipe away the tears from all faces, and the disgrace of His people He will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken. It will be said on that day, ‘Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, so that He might save us. This is the Lord for Whom we have waited; let us be glad and rejoice in His salvation. For the hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain.'” In this place tonight the Lord's hand will rest; and one of the ways that He wipes away the tears of the eyes is with those words of consolation and up-building that He gives to His people to speak, that we may all be up-lifted and consoled.

CONFIRMATION / EXHORTATION

I confirm that because, as we were singing, I had the image of us climbing that mountain of praise. The beginning of that Scripture stated that this banquet is at the top of the mountain. Tonight we are all going to the top of that mountain together. Some of us are bounding up that mountain with praise, and others have come here tonight with the sacrifice of praise. We are going to lift each other up that mountain of praise. So if you are one who is bounding with joy, be as boundless as you can because there are others here tonight who are only able to put one foot in front of the other. We will lift each other up and we will all go to the top of that mountain to receive those graces and gifts which God has in store for us.

PROPHECY / EXHORTATION

Tonight I have gotten a word and it is “name”. What is in a name? The name of Jesus and all of our names – say your names out loud right now, each and every one of you. God has asked us to speak out! When Ray was speaking, I was thinking of the many times that the word ‘name' was mentioned. The name of Jesus calls us every single minute, and He says, “Be not afraid! Come to Me; be not afraid for I have given you a name, a name that is so blessed. Follow Me! You desire gifts, come and do not be afraid!” Partake and accept the gifts for the up-building of our community. God has tried to get our attention way back when we were children, but now we are adults. Do we realize what a beautiful name “Jesus” is? Everyone, right now, say the name “Jesus”. He says, “I love you and I have come to you. Be not afraid, I am calling you.” Silence my soul, so that I can hear Jesus calling out to me.

PROPHECY

You are My children! I see you as My children. Just as you all were softly whispering “Holy, Holy” to Me, I bring them all up together and I bless them and give them back to you tenfold, twentyfold, sixtyfold. I gather you all together and I want you to be here and to listen. Open your hearts! I thank you for your praise. Whisper, whisper your prayers; I always hear them. I am always there for you!

IMAGE

I had an image of Jesus smiling, and along with that image are the words, “I delight in you, my children! I delight in you! Let us now take a few minutes to sit quietly and listen in our hearts and minds for a word from the Lord – be it only one word or more or an image. Let us just listen for His voice.

SCRIPTURE

Psalm 34:8: “ Taste and see how good the Lord is!” He is sweeter than honey from the comb.

EXHORTATION

He sees us that way and He wants us to be just as joyful and light in our hearts, light in our steps/ He wants us to leave the heaviness behind. He wants us to lift ourselves up off the ground.

CONFIRMATION / SENSE

I confirm that. I had a feeling like the very first time you look into the face of your newborn child and all of the feelings that come rushing in. I just had a sense that God is telling us, “Feel that a thousand times over, and that is how I feel every time I look at you.”

SHARING

I want to share a physical sensation of what was just spoken. This evening the pain in my back has been so strong that I have hardly been able to stand and have been sitting most of the evening. But when that word was spoken, my pain was gone.

EXHORTATION

....time are the body of Christ. Go, be His hands to serve and heal; be His feet to bring the good news; be His heart to love and His eyes to see; be His ears to hear, and His mouth to speak to His beloved ones. Tell them that the “I AM” is real; that the “I AM” is alive; that “I AM” is present in the world today, here and now.

WORD OF KNOWLEDGE / PROPHECY

Ray had said that there are words for the community and words for an individual. It is burning in my heart that there is someone here that needs to hear these words from the Lord for you. His words are, “You are in a time of great turmoil; I know that. I know that your boat is being tossed by the waves, but remember that I am the Lord of the wind and the waves. Right now in this moment, I speak to you and I say to the wind and the waves, ‘Peace! Be still!' And whether the wind and the waves stop, you will be covered with My peace. You will know that from this place, I walk with you. No matter the wind or the waves, I am with you and nothing will harm you.”
