INSPIRED WORD

PERSONAL SHARING / THANKSGIVING

I would like to give praise to the God Who created this universe! This past weekend Mel was kind enough to take me to the San Luis Valley and I saw things there, His creation, that I had only imagined in my own mind, before this particular weekend. We can see the golden Aspen trees in our mountains here, but in the San Luis Valley, I was able to see mountain sides of gold; I have never seen that before. When you are on top of a mountain and you look down, you see seas of gold and you know that only God created that. When you go outside at night, it is not the few stars in the sky that you see here, it is almost as if there are millions and millions of stars placed in the sky just for us to see. We sing a song here that says that God has named the stars in the sky and I believe that. So I want to give thanks to Him for all things; for His creation that He has given us, so that we see His love for us. I want to thank Him for the glory that He places there for us to see; so that we know the love He has for each of us. Praise You, Lord Jesus Christ!

SCRIPTURE / EXHORTATION

Psalm 24:7-9: “Lift up your heads, O gates; rise up, you ancient portals, that the King of Glory may enter.” Jesus is also the King of Glory. It goes on: “Who is the King of Glory? The Lord, a mighty Warrior, the Lord, mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates; rise up, you ancient portals, that the King of Glory may enter.” The Lord, right now, is here. He is asking us to lift up those ancient doors; lift up anything in our hearts that keeps Him from coming in because the King of Glory, Jesus, wants to come in and refresh us. Come in, King of Glory! Come in!

PRAYER

Let us ask Him for that grace of desire so that we can really desire Him; that we can open up the ancient doors of our hearts and allow Him to come in. Lord, give us that desire; give us that hunger and thirst for You. Pour forth that grace, O Lord, on our hearts. Allow us to have that grace of desire so that we may open wide the doors of our hearts so that You might enter; so that the King of Glory might enter. O God, make us thirsty, make us hungry, make us desire You. O King of Glory, come into the hearts of Your people and into this place here tonight. Jesus, we love You!!

SCRIPTURE

Psalm 23: The Lord is my Shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters, He gives me new strength and guides me in the right path for His name's sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid; for You are there with me. Your rod and Your staff they comfort me. You prepare a banquet before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Only goodness and mercy will be with me all the days of my life; I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

TONGUES

INTERPRETATION

O My precious children, you may feel like you are now in the middle of a desert and it is so hot and dry and you cannot find water. You are so thirsty, but I am your Shepherd and I will lead you to the water and you will be refreshed.
