NOVEMBER 12, 2003

Ps. 104: 31-34   The glory of the Lord shall endure forever.   May the Lord rejoice in his works.   He looks on the earth, and it trembles.   He touches the mountains and they smoke.   I will sing to the Lord as long as I live.   I will sing praise to my God while I have being.   May my meditations be pleasing to him for I rejoice in the Lord.

EXHORTATION    Scripture says that they threw their crowns down before the throne of the Lamb.   The Lord is saying to us, that whatever that crown is that we come in here with – our expectations, our self-will, our tiredness, our concerns – it is time to lay it down at the throne of   the Lamb, so that he can be glorified in this place.   Let us lay it down before Jesus, so that we can truly sing, holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty!

INSPIRED PRAYER    Lord, receive those crowns as we lay them before your feet.   I lay down all of my distractions, at your feet, so that I may have eyes only for you, and a heart only for you in this time and in this place.   Lord, those concerns I have for others, I place in your hands.   You have our life, our entire life, our comings and our goings, our struggles and fears, all in the palm of your hand.   Lord, all of those things I surrender and throw down at your feet.   Allow us to be able to surrender ourselves to you tonight, in all of the circumstances of our live.

PRAYER FOR PEACE AND HEALING FOR A PRAYER GROUP MEMBER

INSPIRED SCRIPTURE    My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, and my spirit sings to God my saving God, who on this day above all others favored me and raised me up, a light for all to see.   Through me, great deeds will God make manifest, and all the earth will come to call me blessed.   I am bound in love and mercy.   I will proclaim for all who know and praise God's holy name.   

Eph. 3: 14   (paraphrase)   My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father, who parcels out all heaven and earth.   I ask him to strengthen you by his   Spirit, not a brute strength, but a glorious inner strength.   The Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in.   I ask him, that with both feet planted firmly on love, that you will be able to take in, with all Christians, the extravagant dimensions of Christ's love.   Reach out and experience the breadth, test its length, plum the depths, rise to heights, live full lives, full in the fullness of God.   God can do anything, you know, far more than you could ever imagine, guess, or request in your wildest dreams.   He does it not by pushing us around, but by working within us.   His Spirit deeply and gently within us.   Glory to God in the church!   Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus!   Glory to all generations.   Glory through all millennia.   O yes!   PRAYER     God, we bless you this night.   We bless you for your people.   We bless you for your presence.   Lord, we love you.   Thank you for this time of   fellowship.   In Jesus we pray.

O Lord, we thirst for your Spirit now.   We ask for that new Pentecost that you have promised.   Spirit of the Living God, we ask you to come, as in Pentecost.   Spirit of the Living God, we ask you to fill this temple from top to bottom, from north to south, from east to west.   Spirit of the Living God, we ask you to come and change what is necessary to change.   Come and make things new.   Come, take charge of your people.   Spirit of the Living God, come and renew us.   Spirit of the Living God, come and hear us.   We thirst for you, O holy Lord.   We hunger for you.   Come, we ask you to come from the depths of our being.   Come and renew us and renew your church.   Come, O Lord, and bring a new Pentecost to your people!

PRAYER FOR A MIRACLE HEALING FOR PRAYER GROUP MEMBER WITH LIFETIME AFFLICTION

VISION    I see the oil of anointing falling over her like a waterfall.   It is coming down in a sheet, all around her.  

The Lord is saying, my strength is made perfect in your weakness.

PRAISE YOU, SON OF DAVID!   PRAISE YOU, MIGHTY GOD!   PRAISE YOU, GOOD SHEPHARD!   PRAISE YOU, LION OF JUDAH!   PRAISE YOU, KING OF KINGS!   PRAISE YOU, JESUS!   YOU ARE THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE!   PRAISE YOU, JESUS SAVIOR!   PRAISE YOU, JESUS COUNSELOR!  

PRAYER FOR GOOD HEALTH FOR PRAYER GROUP MEMBER'S SON

PROPHECY/SCRIPTURE    The Lord would like us to know that before we ever walked through these doors tonight, he knew of every one of these needs.   He has sat down with us and he has touched every heart that has sought him.   He has said, I see your hearts and I know that you seek me.   My promise is this:   Rev:   I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed   away, and the sea was no more.   I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, ‘See, the home of God is among mortals.   He will dwell with them as their God.   They will be his people, and God himself will be with them.   He will wipe every tear from their eyes.   Death will be no more.   Mourning, crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.   And the one who was seated on the throne, said, ‘See, I am making all things new.'

CONCLUSION PRAYER Thank you, Lord, for your mercy that you have spread around to us tonight.   We know, Lord, that when the hem of your garment passes by, your blessing, your grace and your love come forth.    We want the whole garment, Lord.   We want everything that it has to give – all of its strength, courage, love.   Teach us, Lord, how to share that same love with those we come in contact with.
