INSPIRED WORD

September 10, 2008

SCRIPTURE / SENSE / PRAYER

Matthew 18: 19 – 20: “Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in My name, I am there among them.” I just really sense the Presence of God beginning to fill up this place, and that promise that Jesus gave us - where two or three are gathered in His Name, He is there among them – is just becoming more and more true in our presence. As we praise and worship Him, He comes to meet us, to meet us in this place, to meet our needs, to rejoice with us, to be in our sorrow with us, wherever we are. We thank You, Lord Jesus, for what You have promised and that You indeed are doing that.

SCRIPTURE

Psalm 33: 1 – 3: A Song of Praise: All you that are righteous, shout for joy for what the Lord has done; praise Him, all you that obey Him. Give thanks to the Lord with harps, sing to Him with stringed instruments. Sing a new song to Him, play the harp with skill, and shout for joy!

SCRIPTURE

Psalm 28: 6 – 7: Blessed be the Lord, Who has heard the sound of my pleading. The Lord is my strength and my shield, in Whom my heart trusted and found help. So my heart rejoices; with my song I praise my God.

SCRIPTURE

Philippians 4: 4 – 7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

SCRIPTURE

Psalm 63: 1 – 8: O God, You are my God, for You I long! For You my body yearns; for You my soul thirsts, like a land parched, lifeless, and without water. So I look to You in the sanctuary to see Your power and Your glory. For Your love is better than life; my lips offer You worship! I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands, calling on Your name. My soul shall savor the rich banquet of praise, with joyous lips my mouth shall honor You! When I think of You upon my bed, through the night watches I will recall that You indeed are my help, and in the shadow of Your wings I shout for joy. My soul clings fast to You; Your right hand upholds me.

My sweetest ones, how precious you are to Me! My dearest children!

PROPHECY

Gently I come like the dew on the grass that refreshes. Like a rain shower that softens,

I come gently into this assembly tonight, and with that soft rain, I make soft the hardened places. Places that you may not even know have been hardened; I make them soft. Within your hearts I plant a seed; a seed of hope, a seed of renewal, that you may be new again.

I plant that seed; it may not come tomorrow, or the next day, but as I plant, so I bring forth the fruit. Trust Me, for gently I come, gently I soften and renew, gently I plant the seed, and the growth will come.

PRAYER

O my God, soften my heart! Soften those thoughts of which You have spoken, those areas that I do not even recognize, Lord. I want to be Your vessel, Lord, I want to be close to You. Soften my heart, Lord, in those areas that keep me away from You. I give You permission, Lord, to come into my life, I give you permission to come in and do what is needed, Lord, to help me draw closer to You. I know that You place the desire in my heart; I ask for a greater desire for a greater hunger, Lord, that I may not hold back in those areas in which You have made me aware. I thank You and I praise Your holy Name, O Lord!

PRAYER

O God, You love us so! You call to us no matter where we go. No matter what path we are on, You call to us. If we go away from You, You call to us; if we strive and go to the right, You call to us to come back. If we go to the left, You call to us to come back. You call to us, O God, and the power of Your voice and Your love turns us toward You. Turn us toward You, O God! Turn us toward You, God!! Turn us toward You, God!! Turn us toward You and let us walk with You; not our will, but Your will, O God. Turn us toward You!! Hear us, O God!

PROPHECY

Come to Me and trust Me! Let me embrace you with My love. Come to Me and let Me guide you, let Me lead you! Trust Me anew and afresh! Trust Me, trust in My love for you; trust Me!

SCRIPTURE

Joshua 1:7: Be careful to obey all the law that My servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

PRAYER

Lord, help us to walk in ways of righteousness, that we may live in Your Presence and experience Your justice. Through the difficult times and through difficult people, Lord, let us know that You are with us always.

CONFIRMATION IN SCRIPTURE

In confirmation of the song and in answer to that prayer, in Isaiah (28 – 31) , the Lord says to us, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. Even youths will faint and be weary, and the young will fall exhausted; but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

PRAYER

Lord God, we give You thanks and praise for allowing us to come into this place tonight, and to open up our hearts to You, to praise and worship You, to love You and to receive Your love. We give You thanks and praise for allowing us to hear Your words, to be sent and to yield to the gifts of the Holy Spirit out of love for others. O Lord, pour forth those gifts anew and afresh upon us as we begin to leave this place now; that in all the places that we go, in all of the circumstances that we find ourselves, we may be on fire for You. We pray that we may be listening for Your inspiration, open to Your voice and that we may act in accordance with Your will and Your promptings. Sanctify us, O God!!
