INSPIRED WORD

SENSE / EXHORTATION

When Ray spoke earlier tonight, the Lord brought back to my mind something that we had talked about in our Scripture class awhile back. And I think that this is an appropriate time to talk about it. A lot of times we say that Jesus Christ is our Lord and our Savior. He is our Savior because of what He decided; we had nothing to do with it. In fact He is our Savior whether we want Him to be or not. But He is only our Lord if WE decide. He is our Savior because He decided, but He is our Lord because we decided. We just ask Him to raise up an army. God does not do a draft like the military services. It is a volunteer army, folks! The sense that I got tonight is that the Lord told us that He wants to give us something – Ray had discussed this point. But it is OUR CHOICE whether we accept it or not. The Lord speaks to us weekly here; He speaks to our hearts wherever we are. It is our choice whether we want to listen, whether we want to accept and whether we want to volunteer. The sense that I got tonight is maybe we have all volunteered before, but maybe we all need to recommit! Maybe it is time for us to step up again and say, “Yes, Lord, I accept what You offered last week, but I also accept, Lord, whatever else You call me to this week and next week. Regarding that army that we are asking You to raise, Lord, I volunteer!” I think that is what the Lord is asking of us.

IMAGE / PROPHECY

As we sang that song to the Lord, I had an image of the Lord Jesus standing and pulling back the gate, the curtain to the Throne room of the Father. Jesus was holding it back and He is saying to us, “I hear your prayers, I see your hearts, I know that your will is to do My will, and I know your struggles. Therefore, I say to you, ‘Come and enter in now; enter into the Throne room of My Father where tremendous treasures await - all of that mercy, all of that forgiveness, all of that love, all of that hope is in abundance in the Throne room of My Father. I invite you in now to partake of that treasure'.”

SPRIPTURE

Revelation 7: 1- -3, 9 – 10: After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so that they did not blow on earth or sea or against any tree. I saw another angel coming up from the east, carrying the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we have placed the seal of God on the foreheads of His servants.” Many were marked that day with the seal of God. After this I saw a vast crowd too great to count, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. They cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the Throne, and to the Lamb.”

SCRIPTURE

Psalm 27: 4 – 6: One thing I ask of the Lord, this I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His Tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Now my head is lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and chant to the Lord.

SCRIPTURE / PRAYER

Matthew 11: 28 – 29: “ Come to Me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest. Take My yoke and put it on you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest.” O Jesus, as Your people we come to You tonight. Some are burdened in this place here tonight, Lord, some need to come to You to experience Your strength, Your power, and Your rest. St. Paul said to the Corinthians: “When I came to You, I was weak, trembled all over with fear.” (1 Corinthians 2: 3) Sometimes we too are weak. And he said further, “My speech and proclamation were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of spirit and power, so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 2: 4 – 5) So Lord, our faith rests in You, Jesus, Your love for us and in Your power to meet all needs and all circumstances. We bring to You now, Lord, all of our needs.
